Full Membership

An applicant for full membership must be a U.S. military veteran, a veteran of a foreign nation residing in the U.S. or a merchant marine or other U.S. citizen who has served in a porfessional capacity with or in service to the U.S. armed forces in an area during a period of war, conflict or other hostile activity.

Full members must submit a copy of military discharge, DD 214 or other form of acceptable documentation for verification and filing. Full members must subscribe to the purpose, goals, and ideals of VFP and pay national dues.

Associate Membership

Associate members are non-veterans and are entitled to all the rights and privileges of full members except:

  1. voting for and holding office at the national level, and
  2. holding office of president or vice-president at the chapter level.

Associate members are encouraged to attend chapter meetings and national conventions and may vote on all resolutions.

Associate members must subscribe to the purpose, goals, and ideals of VFP and pay national dues.
